Almost like a parade

Earlier this week I was stuck in a Boycott China March on my way back to the office from lunch. I was enjoying a nice quiet time at the park when I heard all of this chanting on the sidewalk. I make my way over and find myself in the midst of this. They were chanting, "China is a liar"...
Unfortunately I don't know enough about the situation, but I do know that these people were very passionate about the situation and I do love to see people really into their causes. It definitely is making me do some research, so I know where I stand on the issue. I don't like being uninformed.

This last photo broke my heart. That poor woman's arms. Wow! On days when I am feeling fatty, I still have a lot to be grateful for.

I love when I get to hang out with my siblings! Last weekend, my brother, his girlfriend Katrina, and my sister all came to town! They both had work in DC, yet made the trek to NY to hang out with me as well. Fun times.
This is me, Roxy (she had the day off and was so gracious to hang with us) and Dereck at Tom's Restaurant.

My sis, Katrina and Cameron.
After breakfast, we walked on over to the Brooklyn Museum and afterwards Kijuana and I went to see Sex & the City and to do some much needed shopping around town. That night we went to Legally Blonde on Broadway which was a lot of fun. A bit cheesy, but a fun show. Apparently I ate some bad food that night because I got seriously sick. I went in a store to get some water and the cashier was being as slow as molasses and so I had to yell at her to give me a bag now because I thought I was going to hurl, luckily Kijuana went in after me, gathered my change and apologized on my behalf. However, I didn't throw up and I felt fine after I woke up.
Fine enough in fact to eat this at Max Brenner.

Feeling full. Cameron was out of control and goint back and forth to DC to DJ at nights. Made me tired to just watching him! He had just gotten in on the red-eye Chinatown bus! :) Had to drop off sister at the bus stop on Saturday, Cameron and Katrina explored and got rained on and Dereck and I headed to the Craft Fair. Which was awesome. (For him too, he told me!) I got a really cute butter dish. I know, it's exciting. But it's really cute! And I would appreciate if someone could explain to Dereck WHY every household needs a butter dish...
Embarassingly, most of the photos we took revolved around food...naturally I suppose.

Waiting to head out for the day.
Rainy photos from dinner at AZUL.

Carl, Roxy and Sarah

It was a really fun trip, filled with a lot of laughs and funny, funny memories. I can't wait for them to come back!!

One mini item

I made this little dress for a baby shower with some fabric from a past collection. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Hello there

It’s weird how when you the load lifts a bit how you can fill time so quickly with other things!
But, nothing too exciting too report yet. Just work and such.

I’ve done a few projects –
-Dyed my denim jacket – no pictures

-Used the fabric that I printed by putting it over canvas for a wall in our bedroom – no pictures

-Made a mini item for a baby shower tomorrow night – no pictures

-Worked on my drawing (barely)

-Thought about how I want to re-arrange the spare bedroom into a workspace...ok that is doesn't really constitute on doing anything, but thought I could sneak it in there.

I’ve also gone a few places –

-Carnegie Hall (last night) to listen the BYU Orchestra perform.
It was seriously awesome to be there. It’s a beautiful NY landmark. I kept thinking to myself, “I’m at Carnegie Hall!”

Don't tell that we snuck a picture.

-Dereck and I walked across Manhattan and the Manhattan Bridge one night…it was pretty sweet, although my feet hurt by the end of the night.

-Saw What Happens In Vegas with Michelle – Quite funny!
That's about it. I'll try to post something more interesting next time.
