This semester, I'm going to be teaching an apprenticeship in connection with Citizen Schools.
My former classmate, Regine and I are going to be teaching middle schoolers once a week about fashion design!
ha!
It's a pretty cool after school program so if you have an extra hour and half a week you should look into doing it. They have connections with schools all over the country.
It should be really fun. We have them going on field trips to Mood, the Cooper Hewitt, even to the Jones New York showroom. At the end of the 10 weeks, they will be presenting their 6 piece collection, hopefully at Parsons. (I'll keep you posted on that.)
About the same time I signed up for that, I got called to be in the Young Women's organization at church.
So what does this mean? That I might start acting like a middle schooler yet again...dressing younger? Perhaps... time will tell!
Wish me luck!

um...GOOD LUCK!!! And what do you mean, shutting down the blog? And then starting a new one...we must discuss this!
You don't need luck, the YW are going to love you! So cool about the new teaching gig! Speaking of going back to middle school -- I came across my journal from 6th grade and there is an entry I have to read to you! It's from your birthday party, hilarious!
I'm in the YW's in my ward and I get along better with 15 year olds than the leaders. I'm thinking that means I'm a tad immature! ;)
you will be the best yw leader! they will love you! how fun to be teaching in middle school too - what a great experience!
SO FUN! I would love that, you are going to do awesome!
